Parenting do have types.

Hello everyone, I am again here with my third blog.The topic of blog is weird right but it's true parenting do have types,but wait it's not only my thoughts.its a part of my study on human ecology and family science.when we talk about a human ,many factors are affecting and affected by a man, this is what my upcoming blogs are on .

Straight to the topic,the family plays an important role in nurturing character ,morality ,responsibility, ability and wisdom in a children .identity formation during the childhood is enhanced by the family relationship where children are increased to have and express their own point of view and where there is a secure relationship between family members such a type provides a secure base of child to export their social world.
But everything has some or other drawbacks similarlyparenting do have many defects ,


which gives result as children with criminal mind sets. Let's look at different type of parenting and find the best proven one.


These four parenting styles are sometimes called the Baumrind parenting styles or Maccoby and Martin parenting styles.

The four types of parenting styles are:

  • Authoritative
  • Authoritarian (or Disciplinarian)
  • Permissive (or Indulgent)
  • Neglectful (or Uninvolved)
Authoritative 

HIGH DEMANDINGNESS. LOW REPONSIVENESS.

High levels of parental control and low levels of responsiveness are the two characteristics of authoritarian parents.

These parents provide their kids with reasoning and explanation for their action. Explanations allow children to have a sense of awareness and teach kids about values, morals, and goals.

These parents set rules and enforce boundaries by having open discussion, providing guidance and using reasoning.
 
Characteristics of such children are:-

  • Appear happy and content.
  • Are more independent
  • Are more active​7​
  • Achieve higher academic success​7–9​
  • Develop good seself-esteem.
  • Interact with peers using competent social skills​11​.
  • Have better mental health — less depression, anxiety.
  • They more courageous but know their limits.

2. Authoritarian Parenting

HIGH DEMANDINGNESS. LOW REPONSIVENESS.

High levels of parental control and low levels of responsiveness are the two characteristics of authoritarian parents.

In such of parenting there are very high hopes from child that mentally pressurise the child. expections are very high at low age.

Such patents use harsh treatment to control there children's,like hard punishment , beating them that's totally wrong which makes child volient and suppressive.

In single word they show "hard love".


Characteristics of such children are.

  • Have an unhappy disposition.
  • Be less independent.
  • Appear insecure.
  • Possess low self-esteem.
  • Exhibit more behavior problem.
  • Perform worse academically.
  • Have poorer social skills.
  • Be more prone to mental issues​.
  • Be more likely to have drug use problems​.

1. Permissive Parenting (Indulgent)

LOW DEMANDINGNESS. HIGH RESPONSIVENESS

Permissive parents set very few rules and boundaries and they are reluctant to enforce rules.

One of the worst style of parenting is permissive parenting as here the demands of child is very high and does not want to say no or disappoint there children.this makes the scenario tough to deal with such children's in future.

They are treated like kings and queens with no boundaries .the provide them High standard of living which makes them proudy and treat others with low respect.

Characteristics of such children are.

  • Cannot follow rules.
  • Have worse self-control.
  • Possess egocentric tendencies.
  • Encounter more problems in relationships and social interactions.

3. Neglectful Parenting (Uninvolved)

LOW DEMANDINGNESS. LOW RESPONSIVENESS.

Neglectful parents do not set firm boundaries or high standards.

This is mainly the problem with working parents.they make themselves so hard to reach that Thier own children are left in the shadow of loneliness .

These patents also may have mental issues themselves such as depression, or physical abuse or child neglect when they were kids.

Neglecting parenting could be very serious as here child feels frightened and lonley.which gives them voleint ideas as sucide or harming parents .such type of parenting should be totally avoided.

Children raised by neglectful parents:

  • Are more impulsive.
  • Cannot self-regulate emotion.
  • Encounter more delinquency and addictions problems.
  • Have more mental issues — e.g. suicidal behavior in adolescents.
parenting is the stage of watering of plant , so that plant grows into a healthy plant. if in such a early stage  there is defaulting modeling of  parenting than the future reasults will be drastially dangeours. so the perfect style of parenting is authoritative parenting.
